**Compensation Range for This Position Is $58,000 - $62,000

Mercy Ships is seeking a People Systems Administrator to serve remotely. In this position you'll have the opportunity to support the People & Culture Department initiatives of Mercy Ships to ensure continued delivery of hope to those in need through high-level customer support, sound system administration, and effective end-user training of People & Culture (HR) Systems.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Perform system administration for Recruiting, Onboarding, Core HR, and Document Management systems/modules within People Technology portfolio.
  • Serve as tier 1 people systems production support through entire employment/volunteer lifecycle, adhering to respective service level agreements.
  • Partner with functional/business leaders to create and deliver regular People Systems training to end users and key user groups in alignment with functional processes.
  • Ensure protection of People Data by adhering to applicable internal and external data protection policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Escalate system/process vulnerabilities and ensure proper mitigation.

  • Must be able to update data and correct records efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to analyze issues, recognize patterns, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to continually learn and adjust to new processes and system functionality required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business language.
  • Effective listening skills with ability fill implied meaning and probe for additional information.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with strong cross-cultural competency.
  • Must be able to collaborate with service partners and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 1 year experience administering HR information system, Payroll system, ATS, ERP, and/or finance management systems required.  Experience in Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
  • 1 year experience in using a service management/ticket system as an admin or service agent (Jira, ServiceNow, ZenDesk, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • 1 year experience delivering in-person training to and creating work instructions/quick reference guides for end users.
  • System implementation experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a global, cross-cultural environment desired.
  • Mercy Ships experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience within the Human Resources field is preferred, but not required.
  • Certification in business analysis or system administration a plus (CCBA, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL) preferred.
  • May be required to travel domestically or internationally (up to 10%)
  • HR Certification a plus (SHRM, HRCI, or Global HR)
