Mercy Ships is seeking a Full Time Remote Data Analyst-Business Intelligence to serve with our planning & Implementation team.  a Data Analyst at Mercy Ships, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Qlik and Qlik Sense, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

How You’ll Contribute

Data Exploration and Analysis:

  • Utilize Qlik, Qlik Sense, and other sources to explore, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
  • Develop and implement data models, dashboards, and reports to facilitate decision-making.

Requirements Gathering:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and objectives.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for Qlik solutions.
  •  You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be help customers define their data analysis needs.

 Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize Qlik applications for performance and user experience.
  • Identify and resolve data quality and performance issues.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing Qlik applications for their reporting and analysis needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Qlik and Qlik Sense within the organization.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on Qlik and Qlik Sense.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and extraction.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics is required9.
  • Strong analytical skills fundamental for interpreting data, identifying patterns, and drawing actionable insights from complex datasets required.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qlik Sense certifications.
  • Google Analytics certifications.
  • Experience with other BI tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python).

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics).
  • At least seven years of related experience as a Data Analyst or similar function required.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
