Oversees and manages the process and communication for credentialed applicants in our talent pipeline for future service
Description:  Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

• Facilitate the credentialing application process.
• Notify applicant of receipt of application and follow up on any items not submitted
• Coordinate reviews of application
• Track all applications that are assigned, ensuring that all are duly processed and not overlooked.
• Work closely with applicants to ensure they are aware of their status and answer questions regarding service with Mercy Ships.
• Send “acceptance” or denial letter as appropriate
• Encourage applicants to join our virtual community (myMercy)
• Accurately update records in HR database (Vista)
• Keep National offices updated with applicant’s progress and status
• Maintain current knowledge of Mercy Ships policies and procedures in regards to minimum commitments and requirements
• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Requirements)

• Excellent computer skills required. Ability to learn custom systems and applications.
• Enthusiastic and relational approach to work with volunteers and colleagues.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Excellent communication skills required - both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of standard office environment.
• Ability to change and grow as systems are implemented to support the infrastructure of the HR process.
• Organize work to embrace and participate in a well-functioning, productive, creative and collegial team.
• Supportive of Mercy Ships mission and vision, and committed to its core values.
• Understand and apply servant leadership, work collaboratively with integrity and demonstrate accountability


Education And Experience

• High School Diploma required.
• Mercy Ships experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience within the Human Resources field is preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
