Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Manage the ISC (International Support Center) Warehouse and Mail Room operations and implement continuous improvement activities that ensure processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with applicable laws and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory control processes and procedures, ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency through receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping methods, in alignment with data storage system(s) and including periodic cycle counts.
  • Coordinate logistics processes and procedures for MSO (Mercy Ships Operations), ensuring all hazardous material processes, transportation companies, national and international customs regulations are maintained, and all applicable registrations, certificates and licenses are current.
  • Support development and improvement of inventory management system(s). Also work closely with the project managers / supply chain personnel for the inventory management system(s) at all locations.
  • Ensure that paperwork, forms, inventory systems, receiving, shipping, and accounting are maintained and correct before processing.
  • Set and track department goals and objectives in line with MSO strategic priorities.
  • Provide periodic reports to Management as requested.
  • Manage departmental and employee management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies which include: planning, hiring, assigning, training and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Monitor expenditures against departmental budget and plans. Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, making recommendations to management on new products or services that might benefit the organization.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Must have the ability to comprehend and ensure compliance with government regulations, as is applies to shipping goods and materials used within the mission.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience and proficiency using inventory management software.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain metrics.
  • Experience with healthcare terms and supplies preferred.
