The Field Screening Nurse volunteer position, part of the Hospital, will be located on the Africa Mercy and Global Mercy, the world's largest non-governmental hospital ships. The preferred minimum commitment for this role is six months. We recommend all interested applicants to submit an application at least six months in advance of your target service date. Commitments longer than twelve months require successful completion of Mercy Ships On Boarding Program. 

Qualifications required:

• Mercy Ships alumni required
• Registered Nurse in home country with current registration
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support) are optional
• Strong clinical experience preferred
• Clinical assessment skills required
• Previous management experience preferred
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office 
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluent in English
• Conversational French preferred
