Summary:  The Marketing Project Manager will manage and coordinate the different aspects of the various fundraising initiatives within the Marketing and Resource Development Departments.  This includes serving as a liaison between internal customers, creative services and agency partners, identifying and monitoring all major tasks and deadlines to ensure deadlines and standards are met.

Summary Description

The Marketing Project Manager will manage and coordinate the different aspects of the various fundraising initiatives within the Marketing and Resource Development Departments.  This includes serving as a liaison between internal customers, creative services and agency partners, identifying and monitoring all major tasks and deadlines to ensure deadlines and standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Work with internal customers to insure feasible project plans are developed to achieve goals.
  • Track and monitor project tasks, milestones and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain Donor Experience Map (Dx Map) and ensure alignment between DX Map and various production schedules.
  • Develop Creative Briefs for applicable Mercy Ships initiatives to clearly communicate strategy, goals and schedule.
  • Coordinate approval of requests for creative services.
  • Acts as main point of contact for internal customers.
  • Regularly provide reports on activities as needed for strategic planning and communication purposes.
  • Looks for opportunities for process improvement, efficiency and resource sharing.
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns for specialized initiatives & opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and detail-orientation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all project team members and agency partners.

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, advertising or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing fundraising projects.
  • Media, advertising, direct response fundraising or public relations experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
