**Compensation Range for This Position Is $85,000 - $90,000

Mercy Ships is seeking a Facilities Director to serve from our Lindale, Texas office. In this position you'll have the opportunity to support the Global Support Services initiatives of Mercy Ships to ensure continued delivery of hope to those in need through oversight and direction of all facility operations at the International Support Center (ISC).

How You’ll Contribute

  • Develops and manages the Campus Master plan for this 400-acre headquarters property.  
  • Provides direction and support for Maintenance & Vendor Management Team 
  • Manages the relationship with our Engineer of Record for safe and compliant Water / Wastewater systems to service the campus. 
  • Oversee the work order / maintenance system to prioritize and cost out new tasks and projects and to help manage ongoing facility / vehicle maintenance.
  • Conducts on-site reviews and audits of ISC operations and facilities. Carries out department-level employee management responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies which include: planning, assigning, training and directing work; appraising performance and reviewing compensation; addressing complaints and resolving conflicts. 
  • Ensures site compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety.  
  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies, and Mercy Ships staff to formulate corrective actions.  
  • Directs industrial hygiene, occupational and general safety programs to ensure a safe environment and comply with safety standards.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Possess administrative and leadership skills to effectively lead a department of paid and volunteer staff. 
  • Have a minimum of 10 years direct property management experience. Candidates with large office complex settings or small educational/industrial sites would be preferred but experience and supersede that individual requirement. 
  • Strong Project Management experience.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Possess a basic knowledge of water/wastewater treatment storage and maintenance, as well as knowledge and understanding of state and local regulations related to this process. 
  • Strong knowledge of building construction; electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. 
  • Ability to develop, read, and interpret budget spreadsheet documents. 
  • Must have proficient computer skills, such as spreadsheet and database development for work order/maintenance schedules; basic word processing and email skills; and conducting internet searches for related departmental equipment and supplies. 
  • Must undertake new employee & job specific safety training provided by Mercy Ships.

 Education & Experience

  • 10-15 years prior management experience in a related field. 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Direct industry related experience is acceptable over formal education.
  • Project Management Professional (or equivalent industry certification) preferred, but not required. 
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
