We are open to considering candidates both at the People Systems Analyst and Senior People Systems Analyst for this role based on experience. Compensation will be based on experience and title.

This is full time LIMITED TERM REMOTE opportunity that is scheduled to go through the end of 2026.

This role requires working in alignment with the UTC time zone.

The rate will be determined based on the location for the selected final candidate. 

 

As a Sr. People Systems Analyst you will maximize the value of People Systems through translation of People & Culture business needs into functional requirements, testing of delivered solutions, and ushering business units through successful business transformations. Must balance business interests, operational sustainability, and overall technology strategy of the organization. The Sr. People Systems Analyst will lead various projects and efforts consisting of a wide range of stakeholders. International and domestic travel required.

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine functional requirements, propose solutions, and provide recommendations based on best practice and industry standards.
  • 10% International and Domestic travel.
  • Research and recommend solutions to business problems according to the defined requirements.
  • Effectively communicate current state and potential future state scenarios to sponsors, product managers, project team members, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead business needs analysis, systems process mapping, and solutions delivery.
  • Lead small to mid-size implementation efforts for People & Culture teams.
  • Author various business process documents such as business process flows, functional specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Effectively transfer ownership of implemented solutions to business users and systems administrators.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge of Human Capital Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, or Financial Management Systems.
  • Skilled in business analysis, root cause analysis, system design, technical, and project documentation.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to manipulate data sets, extract insights from complex data, and utilize data analysis tools (R, SQL, PowerBI, Qlik).
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 6 years in a business analyst, process analyst, or systems analyst role with proven experience in requirements analysis, process design, system configuration, and business documentation.
  • Global systems implementation experience preferred.
  • Certification in business analysis, change management, or project management is preferred. (CCBA, Prosci, PMP, etc).
  • Experience in HR (Human Resources) functional area preferred (Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Compliance, Organization Design/Structure, Payroll, Employee Onboarding/Training/Development, Employee Engagement).
  • Must be able to travel internationally with current passport.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
