The Global Partnerships Content and Design Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing Mercy Ships' Global Corporate Partnerships by creating compelling content and innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of corporate philanthropy, design principles, and social media engagement.

This role is responsible for developing materials that support partnership initiatives, including, but not limited to:

  • Specific corporate projects offer pitch documents (print and PPT).
  • Targeted social media activations.
  • Creative design support for various partnership campaigns.
  • Creative event support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

Content Development:

    • Create and manage high-quality content that supports the goals of the Global Corporate Partnerships program, including brochures, presentations, reports, and case studies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all content aligns with Mercy Ships’ brand voice and values.
    • Develop tailored content that meets the specific needs of corporate partners, highlighting the impact of their contributions.

Social Media Activation:

    • Design and execute social media campaigns that promote Mercy Ships' corporate partnerships, aiming to increase engagement and reach.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to integrate partnership content into broader social media strategies.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns, using insights to optimize future initiatives.

Design and Creative Support:

    • Provide graphic design support for corporate partnership materials, ensuring that all visual elements are consistent with Mercy Ships’ brand guidelines.
    • Develop creative assets for use in digital and print formats, including infographics, banners, and promotional materials.
    • Collaborate with external vendors and agencies when necessary to produce high-quality design work.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Global Corporate Partnerships team to understand the needs and goals of existing and potential partners.
    • Partner with the marketing and communications teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
    • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for partnership campaigns and initiatives.

Project Management:

    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of content and design work.
    • Maintain organized records of all content and design materials for easy access and future use.
    • Monitor industry trends and best practices to keep Mercy Ships’ partnership content and design strategies current and effective.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with social media management and content creation tools.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop innovative content and design solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of branding principles and the ability to maintain consistency across all materials.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in content development related to corporate, graphic design, or a similar role.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or corporate partnership environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Mercy Ships' mission and values is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
