This is full time REMOTE opportunity.

 

**Compensation Range for This Position Is $85,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.

 

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer you will provide engineering and technical support for marine projects.

 

How You’ll Contribute

 

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, monitor, and report on the assigned marine projects.
  • Ensure marine projects are carried out in compliance with applicable statutory regulations, Classification Society rules, codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Liaise with external vendors, contractors, authorities, suppliers, etc. on behalf of Mercy Ships as needed.
  • Perform overall quality control for assigned marine projects (budget, schedule, plans, contractors’ performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Review project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and produce manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, contractors, suppliers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to travel internationally and to relocate to international or shipboard living quarters for extended periods of time.

  • Understand and apply servant leadership, work collaboratively with integrity, and demonstrate accountability.

     

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) from four-year College or University; or four years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
