To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Leads Crew Processing:
- Initiate communication with accepted applicants.
- Track completion of necessary paperwork and support raising progress of all crew members.
- Assess financial readiness for service.
- Complete documentation process for human resources.
- Communicate regularly with HR Facilitators.
Provides a range of support to Crew-in-Process:
- Regularly follows up on financial progress, offering encouragement and tools.
- Responds to the unique needs of the crewmember by answering questions, directing them to various resources and departments, and generally easing their transition into Mercy Ships.
Administers initial support raising tools for each crew member:
- Distributes Crewmates support raising tools to individuals.
- Creates and deactivates crewmember designation codes.
- Creates Crewmates websites, provides training and website support to crew, and disables sites when crewmember departs.
Administers ARP expense reports.
- Generates electronic ARP expense reporting webpages for individual crew within Navigator.
- Documents and reviews submitted expense reports to ensure compliance with established policies and offering redirection to crew when necessary.
Financial Support Program:
- Initiate applications and determine eligibility for approval to the Financial Support Program, managing spreadsheet of active volunteers
- Communicate with Crew Financial Accounting and Payroll regarding payment of Financial Support Benefit
- Maintain Financial Support Navigator space, including Monthly Volunteer Newsletters
- Process ship service extension and transfer requests.
- Prepares training materials for Financial Support Program
- Maintains confidentiality of all applicant files.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong administration and time management skills required. Ability to multitask, compartmentalize, and work efficiently is needed.
- Strong background in customer service to assist crew and their donors. Attention to detail, good letter writing, spelling and grammar skills essential.

Education And Experience
The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.
- An Associate's Degree in any related field is desired.
- Two to three years general administrative experience or related experience and/or training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with a wide array of computer programs.
- Experience with customer service.
