This is a contract role located on site in Lindale, TX.

The Marketing Data Analyst will act as the administrator for donor data analysis, which is utilized in developing reports to enhance the donor experience through analytic tools.
How You’ll Contribute
- Create and administer processes and reports to coordinate data from any or all of the in-house tools, to include but not limited to cultivations, newsletters, email campaigns, acquisitions, donor analysis, and results, to ensure a proper donor experience.
- Manage the creation and implementation of analytical reports for initiative evaluation to validate and improve donor experience.
- Advise the Director of Donor Process in establishing effective donor and prospect move management plans leading to new gift acquisitions, renewals and upgrades.
- Assist in providing accurate mail files for monthly and special donor cultivation and acquisition initiatives.
- Assist in validating “data proofs” from vendors for each donor cultivation and acquisition initiative.
- Update database with relevant donor information received from vendors, including contact records, address updates and code maintenance.
- Collaborate with VP of Advancement, Senior Director of Advancement and Director of Donor Process to determine feasibility of research requests and special projects.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of donor information at all times.
- Review results from in-house database and from vendors to validate results.
- Implement and maintain the processes and systems to ensure best practice in data hygiene, storage and security.
- Collaborate with and contribute to other management initiatives to further organizational growth and development.

- Qlik and Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, macros and pivot tables as well as other data management CRM and analytical tools.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or demonstrated experience and proficiency in data management, business research and analytics.
- Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
