Summary Description

The Program Informatics Manager (PIM) is responsible for cross-cutting programmatic information management and provision of analysis. The PIM will ensure that data collected are of high quality, present analysis and trends to Programs leadership to improve program quality and decision-making, and support the Programs Design team in programmatic monitoring and evaluation.

The PIM will incorporate data management best practices to inform programmatic planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. In coordination with the Programs Data Management Director, the PIM will be responsible for developing, coordinating, maintaining, and constantly improving the data management systems and processes on board Mercy Ships vessels and within International Programs.

 Technical Leadership

  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring in the development of data management systems, mobile data collection tools, data cleaning / validation, data analysis, and other skills required for providing on-time data analysis for measuring the progress and assessing the impact of programs.
  • Ensure programs use the necessary technical systems and tools to inform and improve each individual program in the decision-making process, as well as feedback through our Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system.
  • Participate in the facilitation of Country Engagement Plan (CEP) strategic planning sessions, assisting program director / managers in the development of the specific CEP plans.

Data Management and Analysis

  • Develop a robust programs data management system / structure to facilitate timely information updates, data quality assurance, unique beneficiary tracking, sharing of information and learning.
  • Develop data analysis templates, and dashboards at the program and CEP level.
  • Ensure that the data analysis for all the programs are timely, accurate and high quality.
  • Ensure that data collection is strategically and appropriately coordinated and advanced in each program, including the use of electronic data collection and GIS-mapping using mobile devices and online data management platforms.
