Program Quality and Personnel Management

• Ensure all biomed training projects align well with the education and health system strengthening goals for each partner country.
• Ensure quality biomed training through creation and/or review of training curriculum
• Manage other biomedical technicians who provide training for the program
• Provides direction to ETA Biomed Project Managers for project creation, aligning with ETA Directors and Program Design teams.
• Ensure ETA biomed teams are empowered with skills and resources to perform their duties, including clear processes and procedures amongst the team.
• Identify, plan, and collaborate with other biomed organizations for partnership opportunities, such as trainings, equipment donations, etc.
• Maintains records and performs evaluations as necessary, of all training projects and donations, as directed by the Senior Director of Education, Training, and Advocacy, and Senior Program Design Director.
• Document processes related to program delivery to increase effectiveness of future programs

Collaboration within International Programs

• Collaborate well with other International Programs colleagues to ensure alignment, including ETA leadership on each vessel. 
• Provide support for assessment and baseline efforts, coordinating with the Monitoring and Evaluation Team, Program Design, and Country Engagement Team.
• Prepare internal and final reports on projects in conjunction with the Senior Director of Education, Training, and Advocacy, and Programs Design/MELD in a timely manner
• Ensure team submits timely statistics and reports to relevant IP stakeholders.
• May be requested to assist Hospital Biomedical team with yearly maintenance of medical equipment during Shipyard period as well as Hospital set up and pack down at the beginning and end of Field services
• Attend and participate in all devotions, Receptions and Medical Capacity Building functions as required.
• Write blogs for public platforms describing Medical Capacity Building programs to help share/publicize the work of Medical Capacity Building

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

• Qualified biomedical engineer with years of experience working as a biomed engineer and managing other biomed engineers.
• Experience providing biomed instruction and training in LMICs.
• Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
