Summary Description

As a Talent Community Coordinator, you will oversee and manage communication for those in the candidate’s pool (Talent Community), implement engagement strategies, and collaborate with the Crew Staffing team to migrate candidates from the pool to the crewing process.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Collaborate with the Talent Brand team on regular newsletters and communication with the Talent Community. 
  • Assist the Talent Brand team and Crew Staffing team with mass scheduling efforts, encouraging engagement from the Talent Community. 
  • Keep candidate records up to date regarding their availability, certifications, CVs, and other documentation.
  • Respond to inquiries from candidates. 
  • Ensure candidates are on the correct track for future service and make appropriate adjustments if their situation changes. 
  • Work closely with candidates to ensure they are aware of their status and answer questions regarding service with Mercy Ships. 
  • Accurately update records in HR systems. 
  • Keep national offices updated with the candidate's progress and status as appropriate. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of Mercy Ships policies and procedures in regard to minimum commitments and requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL / SYSTEMS

  • Strong computer skills required with proficiency with Microsoft 365. 
  • Capacity to learn new systems, tools, and applications. 

Education And Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

  • An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or another relevant field is preferred, or a mix of education and relevant job experience.
  • A minimum of two years of administrative experience is required, preferably in the HR / Recruiting function.
  • Experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Previous experience within Mercy Ships is advantageous, though not required. 
  • Successful completion of the Mercy Ships On-Boarding program will be required within the first year of employment.
