**Compensation Range for This Position Is $98,000 - $105,000

Mercy Ships is seeking a Global Compensation & Benefits Manager to serve remotely. In this position you'll have the opportunity to support the People & Culture Department initiatives of Mercy Ships to ensure continued delivery of hope to those in need through development and maintenance of a God-honoring, fair, and consistent compensation philosophy.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Develop and manage Mercy Ships’ global compensation program, including documenting, communicating, updating, and maintaining a targeted compensation strategy.
  • Proactively research and analyze compensation programs globally to make recommendations for enhancements to Mercy Ships compensation package.
  • Establish fair market value for each role based on external and internal comparisons.
  • Partner with HRBP’s and Talent Acquisition team to provide information and identify target market value for each role.
  • Design a schematic of job levels throughout the org and design corresponding pay bands. Standardize job title language to support leveling of titles/roles.
  • Manage and grow our relationship with vendors and advisors related to our compensation products.
  • Maintain internal and external compensation data integrity by completing the bi-annual refresh and annual salary surveys for each country we have employees.
  • Understand the overarching company strategy, as well as communicate and model the core values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and community among staff members throughout the global organization.
  • Ensure that all Global total rewards programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions and environments. 
  • Oversee the maintenance and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments related to any benefits of employment.
  • Partner with ISC Global HR team, National Offices leadership/HR, HR leadership on Vessels, to understand the needs of our internal customer.

  • Ability to travel internationally which will require current passport, ability to achieve medical clearance including all vaccines required for the specific task.

Education & Experience

  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year. 
  • Experience using HRIS and compensation tools is required; experience with Ceridian HRIS, Payscale and Birches Group salary survey data, preferred.
  • 5+ years of core HR experience, leadership role preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in compensation, rewards, and global compensation strategies.
  • 3+ years international business experience.
  • Non-profit experience, preferred. 
  • Intercultural competency required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required with preference of field in Business, HR or finance.
  • HR certification, preferred.
  • Process improvement, change management certification(s), preferred.
