Summary Description

Responsible for the ISC Hospitality Operations and experience at Mercy Ships International Office. This position will lead the teams on campus including Reception, Lodging, Guest Services, Event Services, and Food & Beverage Outlets. This position will liaise cross-departmentally to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality services using industry best practices with a high focus on communications and customer service.

** This position is on-site in Lindale, Texas.  Compensation is $$75-80k

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Oversee Housing & Guest Services
Reservations and accommodation placement
Provision of keys and paperwork for arriving guests
Provision of supplies and groceries
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of each room
Enhance retail product sales
Oversee Reception, Breakrooms & Janitorial Services

Daily visitor check-in policy and procedure
Incoming calls/switchboard procedure
Regular stocking of breakroom supplies and provisions
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of office spaces and communal areas.
Oversee Food & Beverage Outlets

Maintain high-quality controls of hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Develop weekly menu, production, and presentation in Oasis & Anchorage Cafe
Weekly orders maintaining inventory levels and cost controls
Promote a friendly and engaging experience
Chief Ambassador and Point of Contact for Event Management

Utilize strong verbal and written communications skills to gather and disseminate information
Collaborate with Director & Global Hospitality team for special event planning and catering needs
Engage cross-departmental for stakeholder requests
Timeline and workflow mapping
Sales & Vendor Relations

Provide monthly sales reports & analyze trends
Review daily transactions and follow up on variances
Serve as Point of Contact for Vendors and engage new products/services
Develop & Manage Staff

Invest in staff professional & spiritual growth through devotionals, team-building activities, and regular training opportunities
Schedule and coordinate weekly shifts.
Coach and lead staff in best practices; provide feedback, discipline, and performance reviews.
Approve Time Sheets, PTO, and other leave requests
Schedule and coordinate contract personnel
Delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed
Assist in the recruitment, selection, performance management and development in conjunction with P&C
Other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required.


Bachelor's Degree required; preference in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Management, or similar field.
5+ years as General Manager or progressive senior leadership experience in Hotel/ Hospitality/ Event Management.
ServeSafe Manager Certification or equivalent required.
Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
