Description
The Global General
Recruiting Lead at Mercy Ships oversees recruitment efforts for volunteer roles
across the organization. This role involves creating and executing strategic
recruitment plans, coordinating with regional teams, and aligning staffing
strategies with the organization's needs. The Lead is responsible for developing
global recruitment strategies to ensure a consistent and effective approach to
attracting top talent globally.
How
You’ll Contribute
To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.
- Act as the main liaison for regional recruitment teams, ensuring
that recruitment efforts are aligned and consistent across different
regions.
- Focus on managing the recruitment process for General professionals
in roles outside the Programmatic, Surgical/Ward, and Technical Sectors
for positions onboard Mercy Ships.
- Build and maintain relationships with professional organizations and
networks to create a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Communicate staffing needs and requirements from the
centralized staffing department to the regional recruitment teams.
- Work with Staffing Specialists and Workforce Planning Managers to
understand and communicate staffing requirements effectively.
- Conduct bi-weekly meetings with all regional offices to discuss
recruitment strategies, address challenges, and provide updates.
- Make sure regional offices have current information on role-specific
requirements, qualification standards, and availability dates for service
onboard Mercy Ships.
- Partner with regional offices to craft and execute recruitment
strategies for General positions that align with global goals and address
both current and future staffing requirements.
- Support the creation and implementation of global recruitment
campaigns and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of strategies for expanding
recruitment efforts in regional offices to ensure comprehensive coverage
of talent needs.
- Identify and integrate best practices in global recruitment to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in training new recruiters within regional offices, focusing
on skills and processes.
- Provide continuous learning opportunities to elevate the skills and
capabilities of recruitment teams.
- Establish and review pre-vetting checklists to ensure thorough and
effective candidate assessment.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness
of recruitment strategies and make data-driven adjustments.
- Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment activities,
challenges, and successes to senior leadership.
- Monitor and report on global recruitment trends and market
conditions.
- Collaborate with Workforce Planning Managers to align recruitment
efforts with staffing plans.
- Partner with Volunteer Experience to develop and implement
strategies to enhance candidate engagement and satisfaction.

- Strong analytical
skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated ability

Education And Experience
The
requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience
required.
- Bachelor’s
degree in human resources, Business, Marketing, a related field is
required, or a mix of education and relevant job experience.
- Minimum of 5
years of experience in recruitment is preferred, but not required.
- Successful
completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first
year.
