**Compensation Range for This Position Is $58,000 - $63,000 depending on experience.

 

This position must sit in the US and experience on a Mercy Ships Ship is STRONGLY PREFERRED.

 

As the US Crew Navigator Manager, you oversee the US volunteer journey with the aim of providing a positive experience and excellent customer service for volunteers. This is achieved from the volunteer’s status of pre-ship to alumni. In conjunction with the Global Volunteer Experience team ensuring increased satisfaction and retention rates.

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Advocate and implement industry-leading practices to optimize the volunteer journey for US applicants.
  • Develop comprehensive engagement initiatives tailored to enhance volunteer interactions, spanning areas such as crew support, fundraising, and community & church engagement.
  • Manage the US team of Crew Navigators tasked with guiding volunteers through their journey.
  • Monitor and analyze both qualitative and quantitative metrics to assess the efficiency and impact of crew care activities, in coordination with the MSUS Recruitment team.
  • Ensure timely updates and relevant content for crew engagement emails, adhering to policy adjustments and feedback from volunteers.
  • Review exit surveys, promptly address any concerns raised, and implement improvements as necessary for US crew.
  • Collaborate closely with the MSUS Recruitment and Global Volunteer Experience team to enrich the overall US volunteer experience
  • Develop and cultivate strategic partnerships with communities, social organizations and events to increase awareness, engagement, and opportunities for MSUS.
  • Supervise US Alumni Ambassador program to ensure effective representation and engagement.
  • Oversee the US buddy program within the Alumni engagement framework to enhance support and connection among US volunteers.
  • Utilize expertise in marketing, CRM, engagement planning and Salesforce to optimize Crew and Alumni engagement.
  • Oversee Volunteer-to-Career pathway to facilitate transitioning US volunteers into career opportunities.

    Education & Experience

  • Mercy Ships alumni or previous Mercy Ships experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or another relevant field is required, or a mix of education and relevant job experience.
  • Experience managing a team is required.
  • Previous experience working in a non-profit is advantageous, though not required.
