**This is a 10 Hour per week REMOTE opportunity, and the pay range is $24.33/HR.
The Opportunity

For every transformative surgery that takes place onboard one of our Mercy Ships, there are dozens of men and women being used of the Lord to prepare the way through their vocational gifts and talents!
The Dietician Clinical Coordinator/Resource Manager assists in the planning and provision of hospital nutrition services onboard Mercy Ships vessels. This is done through reviewing dietitian applications, overseeing procurement and use of nutrition products, and coordination of relevant policies, procedures, patient care pathways. Calculation of nutritional needs for patients as needed.
How You’ll Contribute
Staffing
- Review applicants for Clinical Dietitian position qualifications.
- Document needed positions in the staffing formation for each vessel.
- Select candidates to fill staffing plans.
- Assist with the development of a recruitment strategy for Dietitian positions.
- Provide remote or onboard training for team members as needed.
Clinical
- Act as the Nutrition Services subject matter expert for:
- Clinical matters related to quality, safety, clinical performance and effectiveness (clinical governance).
- Project work (development of clinical nutrition (including Infant Feeding Program) and patient food service policies, procedures, patient care pathways).
- Initiates ongoing program development updating policies and procedures, protocols, and patient care pathways including malnutrition and wound care, Infant Feeding Program.
Works collaboratively with nursing to develop nutrition related nursing protocols.
- Coordinate with Mercy Ships procurement as required to provide appropriate nutritional formulas and supplements for patients.
- Oversight, when needed, of nutritional formulas for patients such as caloric intake and core meal plan.

- May require occasional travel to the vessels.
- Knowledge of Nutrition Standards.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required - Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent working experience preferred.
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietician, Registered Dietician Nutritionist, or equivalent from home country.
- Minimum two years full time experience following licensure in an acute hospital setting.
- Mercy Ships nutrition experience preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
