**This is a FULL TIME Hybrid opportunity located in Lindale, Texas.

 

Mercy Ships is seeking a Junior FP&A Analyst to provide comprehensive support to the financial planning and analysis team. This role involves managing communications, performing budget validation checks, assisting with financial reporting, and coordinating various administrative tasks. Reporting into the FP&A Manager.

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Perform budget validation checks for workforce and operational requests and follow the established process for acquiring necessary approvals for out-of-budget items.
  • Gather financial data and supporting documents to generate routine management reports.
  • Maintain contact lists and access to various financial systems for org partners.
  • Perform minor system maintenance tasks periodically.
  • Assist during the set up and execution of forecast and budget cycles.
  • Complete accounting entries during monthly close process.
  • Submit and monitor various service tickets with IT and P&C for system updates.
  • Manage FP&A team email communications and coordinate with team to resolve inquiries.
  • Organize and schedule various meetings and/or training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting effectively with international and national personnel.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure alignment with FP&A team practices.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook), as well as ability and willingness to learn new software products as may be required.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

  • Understand and apply servant leadership, work collaboratively with integrity and demonstrate accountability.

Education & Experience

  • 0-2 years of financial planning and/or accounting experience.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with the following tools required: Standard Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
  • Experience with any of the following tools preferred: Microsoft SharePoint, Asana, Qlik, SalesForce, MIP Abila.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
