Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Provide writing support to Programs Managers and Directors for the development of project plans and reports to ensure
  • activities and Outcomes are correctly captured and achievable,
  • activities, Outcomes, and Goals address the identified need,
  • activities align with the information represented in the budgets, and documents are well written and grammatically correct.
  • Assist with creating assessment and evaluation tools as needed.
  • Provide status reports to the Program Design Director on project plan processes and developments
  • Ensure that complete internal reports are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Participate with effective research and assessment trips (if required) to help Mercy Ships design project activities.
  • Preserve and enhance the reputation of Mercy Ships, ensuring the organization’s experience and expertise is well communicated and consistently presented.
  • Help provide research, program design, and planning tools for Program managers and directors as needed.
  • Help provide research for program evaluation tools and participate in evaluation trips (if required) to help Mercy Ships determine success of program outcomes.
  • Participate in Mercy Ships program reviews and evaluations.  Participate in ongoing development of monitoring systems.
  • If required, collaborate for effective communication and cooperation to any/all tactical and strategic Programs partners in collaboration with Mercy Ships staff, including Programs, Procurement, Resourced Development, and Human Resources.
  • Help research, analyze and recommend new approaches and concepts to improve Support effectiveness and impact. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
