Business Analyst
Summary:  Reporting to our Director of Project Management, the Business Analyst works alongside Project Management to fully understand business processes, goals, and objectives across departments as they pertain to a given project. The Business Analyst is responsible for defining the as-is current and target state process and project documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Business Analyst to broaden his/her business analysis skill set by working on high-visibility projects that are both tactical and strategic in nature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To fulfill this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Work with sponsors, customers, Information Services staff and other stakeholders to define requirements
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine functional requirements, technical solutions, alternative approaches and related impacts
  • Uncover business functionality, technical details, and risks as well as help formulate options to drive decisions towards the best solution
  • Take ownership of the functionality being delivered
  • Lead customer interviews and business analysis sessions
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products and services to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
  • Create models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers
  • Other duties as assigned.
