Warehouse Coordinator
Summary:  Provide logistical support services to the Mercy Ships vessels in order to provide needed medical and general supplies in a timely manner.
Description:  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Liaises and communicates with Logistics Manager, Procurement Coordinators, and designated procurement personnel on each vessel and land-based teams.
  • Provides efficient warehousing organization, re-packing and shipping services for Health Care Services' procurement effort.
  • Maintains updated spreadsheet/computerized inventory data to facilitate efficient receiving, warehousing, and shipping of medical/dental equipment and supplies.
  • Keeps updated with shipping methods and company's information and international customs regulations and paperwork.
  • Ensures completion of documentation (purchase orders, donation forms, etc.) for accounting purposes.
  • Assists with Mail Room functions.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all client/personnel/organizational files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Requirements)

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Knowledge of medical/dental terms and supplies, mathematical and computer skills, and warehousing/inventory control preferred.
  • Experience in health care procurement helpful.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office with willingness and ability to learn inventory management software system.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
