Kids On Boarding Lead Facilitator
Summary:  Responsible for implementing a structured 4-week day camp for children 5-12 of On Boarding participants. (Mon-Fri, 7:30-4:30)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Together with the Family Liaison, implement the KOB program using a structured day of activities and outings from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday and 8:00-3:00. Four weeks total.
  • Provide a safe place for spiritual development, social interaction, and fun.
  • Support the children as they transition from one culture to another.
  • Responsible for organizing, maintaining, and cleaning the KOB classroom area.
  • Responsible for finances involving outings and equipment.
  • Ensure the children's safety at all times and follow the seat belt policy on all outings.
  • Communicate to the parents and Family Liaison in all cases of accidents, illness, or behavioral problems.
  • Encourage and instruct assistants in their supportive roles.
  • Report to the Family Liaison on a daily basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Requirements)

  •  An enthusiastic, energetic and creative person who has a desire to work with children.
  • Valid Texas Driver License and must meet all requirements for Mercy Ships Auto Insurance. (This only applies if the Lead Facilitator will be driving)
  • Support organization's mission and vision.
  • Ship experience is preferred.
  • Follow the example of Jesus by Loving God; Loving and Serving Others; Being a Person of Integrity and a Person of Excellence in all you say and do.
  • Adhere to Mercy Ships Code of Conduct.
  • Successfully complete On Boarding Program is preferred.

Education And Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

  •  Prior experience working with children required.
  • CPR and First Aid certified beneficial.
