Summary: Provide support to the Human Resources Department of Mercy Ships as it pertains to serving the International Support Center (ISC).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Facilitate the hiring process of all ISC staff in collaboration with Department Heads & HR Director.
- Update job descriptions as directed by the HR Director.
- Maintain departmental staffing plans.
- Process and maintain employment records in a manner that is legally compliant and meets best practice standards.
- Facilitate new hire orientation training for all in-coming staff and volunteers.
- Coordinate Benefit Plans, assist staff with enrollment, and respond to any inquiries.
- Build capacity within the Human Resources office, by advising on the development, refining, and implementation of processes, including recommending policies and procedures toward improved standards of operational effectiveness.
- In a consultative manner, work with line managers and management to ensure that all employment practices, compensation, employee benefits, and human resources programs are legally compliant and meet best practice standards.
- Partner with Finance, IS, and other applicable sectors to develop more seamless and integrated HR procedures that are aligned to Mercy Ships overall business strategy.
- Track receipt of performance reviews and send reminders to managers, as needed.
- Ensure exit interviews with HR Director are arranged and Exit Interview Surveys are sent prior to staff departures.
- Track & schedule long term service recognition awards & benefits for the ISC, ships, and national offices.
- Coordinate volunteer time tracking and annual awards ceremony.
- Fulfill all duties associated with the secondary role of 0585 - Immigration and Visa Coordinator.
- Other duties as assigned.
