US Public Relations Coordinator
Summary: Plan and direct public relations programs designed to promote the mission of Mercy Ships.
This position is located at our ISC in Lindale, TX, it's a part-time employment opportunity and the pay range is $20-$23hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Assist with the compilation of key documents as appropriate for media trade shows, press tours and other media events as directed.
- Help to build and maintain media lists.
- Assist with local community media outreach, coordinating schedules and logistics.
- Responsible for distribution of media materials to targeted contacts as directed.
- Prepare daily news coverage clips report
- Monitor all Mercy Ships US news clips and blogs.
- Work with crew, alumni to gather information for local story placement in various publications.
- Assist with developing and producing high quality informative press releases, press kits and related materials.
- Write and distribute interesting and effective press releases to local and national media.
- Provide media with essential information to communicate message effectively, i.e., videos, still photography and printed information.
- Develop and maintain Mercy Ships corporate identity, branding and message with media outlets.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with local and national media outlets.
- Distribute press releases to internal sites.
- Create news opportunities with both local and national news organizations.
- Monitor all Mercy Ships US news clips and blogs and report results to Marketing Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
