Leadership & Management Training Manager
Summary:  Oversees the planning and implementation of leadership and management training for Mercy Ships. Leadership and management training must support Mercy Ships’ mission, vision and core values in a diverse multi-cultural, multi-generational environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Collaborate with Learning and Development Officer to develop and implement a corporate leadership and management training strategy.
  • Develop and facilitate delivery of leadership and management training for all Mercy Ships locations.
  • Work to ensure that Mercy Ships training is consistent with organizational goals for learning, making necessary adjustments in collaboration with the Learning and Development Officer.
  • Design curricula for a multi-cultural, multi-generational audience, using adult learning principles.
  • Adapt trainings to field, online and classroom learning environments, as needed.
  • Regularly assesses the impact of training programs.
  • Model good management and leadership skills.
  • Model core values with staff and students; encourages the development of a godly environment.
  • Collaborate on on-going staff development projects, as needed.

Education and Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Experience in adult teaching and curriculum development
  • Preference for experience in management and/or leadership training
  • Preference for experience working in non-profit and/or faith-based organizations
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
