Global Brand Communication Director
Summary:  Responsible for the roll-out of engaging, messaging, and consistency on a global level that translates in an increase of awareness. Ensure that content is collected, created, and distributed directly or through global brand tools.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Develop and implement the existing global messaging strategy to grow and strengthen the global brand positioning of Mercy Ships. Focus first on the communication of the why followed by the how
  • To provide brand messaging inspires and results in an effective target audience communication across all mediums
  • To ensure consistency and effectiveness on global and national level
  • To develop global brand tools and global communication tools such as brand book, messaging guidelines, annual reports, fact sheets, e.g.
  • Utilize corresponding goals and metrics to evaluate effectiveness of global messaging
  • Effectively work with internal and external resources contributing to the development of messaging that increase awareness for the brand Mercy Ships and lead to action to engage 
  • Actively collaborate on the long term development of processes, communication lines, resources that lead to an ongoing improvement of content and the way it is used by Mercy Ships entities
  • Work intensively together with Campaign Development Manager, Multi Media Manager and International Media Manager, National Offices, and the Africa Bureau
  • Managing designers, writers, and illustrators;
  • Leading the global content creator
  • Knowing which channels for which different kinds of content are best suited; and
  • Designing and implementing creative marketing strategies to disseminate content.

  • Understanding of target audiences and ability to craft copy that communicates the needs.
  • Excellent command of the English language, German, French, or Spanish would be of great asset
