Talent Brand Coordinator 
Summary:  Reporting directly to the Talent Brand Manager, the Talent Brand Coordinator will help to cultivate the Mercy Ships international Talent Brand, in support of global Recruitment and Staffing goals and initiatives. This full-time role is responsible for content development, lead conversion, supporter engagement, and project management. The Talent Brand Coordinator will use their creativity and project management skills to engage with volunteer communities, tell their stories, and encourage more volunteers to serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

  • Support the Global Recruiting Team in achieving its annual Strategic Market Plan (SMP) Goals.
  • Support the global volunteer alumni community by regularly engaging them with organizational updates via digital newsletters and working to encourage them to re-apply as volunteers.
  • Manage our Crew Appreciation Program, designed to make all our volunteers feel valued while also encouraging referrals and re-application rates.
  • Manage all content for recruitment-owned social pages, including posts and sponsoring, to drive volunteer lead conversion. Strive for equal representation for industry, nationality, and gender to ensure diversity and inclusion. All content should align with the Mercy Ships Brand Book.
  • Support team digital projects, including resource requests, drafting articles and advertisements, etc. Using Adobe Creative, be capable of producing basic posters, rack cards, and other recruitment marketing materials as needed.
  • Be an advocate for the volunteer “voice” in all projects.
  • Monitor strong natural ambassadors among staff and crew for opportunities to collaborate.
  • Your work will be balanced between creating and re-purposing content and supporting the digital marketing content needs of the global Recruiting team.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements)

  • Experience composing and designing digital marketing campaigns required, with basic coding skills (HTML) and design skills
  • Portfolio of writing / storytelling / content-creation samples preferred, including how samples were used to drive impact and results.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Superior written, listening, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
  • Passionate about writing and telling compelling stories.
  • Strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to be highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Strong team-building skills, with a natural desire to collaborate with others.
