Data Center and Cloud Architect
Summary:  A Systems Architect performs a wide variety of evaluation, design, configuration, tier 4 support, mentoring, and training tasks to ensure the server and storage infrastructure performance meets company and user satisfaction. A Systems Architect has authority to set technical policies, approve configuration changes, & set design standards for the Data Center Pillar.
Description:  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Be primary technical lead on enhancements & projects related to Data Centers to ensure proper design & policies are followed
  • Create & maintain technical roadmap for the Data Center Pillar
  • Create & maintain technical polices for network connectivity
  • Design & Create enhancement, project, policy, process, and procedural documentation for the Data Center Pillar
  • Review completed network related project work for adherence to design & policy specifications
  • Design, setup and configure servers, storage, and virtualization platforms
  • Improve workflow and automation tasks within the Data Center Pillar
  • Assist with escalated tier 4 server & storage infrastructure support issues
  • Mentor & assist with training systems engineers focused on Data Center
  • May be required to provide out-of-hours or on-call support for escalated support issues
  • Some national and international travel required
  • Other duties as assigned
