To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

Develop and maintain the change management processes and procedures within the Information Services team. 

  • Work with customers and IS (Information Services) teams to coordinate the lifecycle of change requests, including intake, prioritization, impact review, design, testing, and release.
  • Ensure alignment of change across Information Services and the broader Mercy Ships organization.
  • Design processes for handling change requests, both incoming from customer groups and internally-generated, that result in an appropriate balance of efficient output and thorough planning.
  • Works with IS teams to embed change process workflows into service management tools.
  • Collaborate with customer groups to ensure changes are prioritized.
  • Develop programs, tools and systems to help drive change.
  • Carry a sense of urgency and priority for changes.
  • Ensure changes are reviewed for impact with appropriate IS stakeholders: Enterprise Infrastructure, Technology Products, Project Delivery and Client Services.
  • Ensure regular review of changes with IS leadership, and provide means for leaders to support each other in change efforts.
  • Develop and oversee the formal testing standards and methodologies used by the Information Services team.
  • Design the testing program framework and formalize through the development of formal standards, procedures, and templates
  • Educate and inform stakeholders regarding the IS testing standards and methodologies
  • Ensure the appropriate development of testing plans, testing scripts and other required documentation
  • Ensure testing plans and scripts are properly executed and results are documented
  • Review completed testing documentation for completeness
