Summary:  Summary Description
Handles bank related transactions, post office delivery and mail pick up, shipment processing, and some fulfillment responsibilities, as directed by Warehouse Coordinator.
Description:  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Deliver bank deposits or other business as needed to bank.
  • Deliver and pick up all mail at Lindale Post Office, as directed (including all post office boxes). Purchase stamps as needed.
  • Sort all mail (minus donor gifts) for delivery to ship or International Operations Center.
  • Log in packages and mail for ship, pack and send (monitor current crew list in order to deliver mail appropriately).
  • Open International Operations Center personal and business mail window daily during scheduled hours set by Warehouse Manager.
  • Distribute internal mail.
  • Process POS (Point of Sale) and Send Suite daily.
  • Order supplies as needed. Balance cash box (monthly) for Mailroom and Fulfillment.
  • Fill orders per crew, International Operations Center and National office requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to operate company vehicle. Ability to manage credit card in a reliable and responsible manner.
  • Good organizational skills; attention to detail; general computer skills.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of international shipping requirements. Possess cost-management skills.

    Education and Experience

    The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. A minimum of two years work experience in administrative or marketing field.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
