Direct ship-based Chief Stewards and ensure the safe, sanitary, efficient, and high-quality food and hotel services onboard all ships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a hospitality strategy that ensures safe, sanitary, efficient, and high-quality food and hotel services with consistent processes and results across multiple ships.
  • Provide oversight to ship teams to ensure organizational compliance of standards, procedures, and policy.
  • Proactively review procedures, policies, and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in accordance with best practices.
  • Provide oversight to ship teams to ensure organizational compliance of standards, procedures, and policy.
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-organizational work committees, and recommend improvements as needed
  • Supervise, encourage, and coach ship Chief Stewards, providing regular feedback and spiritual leadership to ensure that they and their teams are functioning effectively and growing spiritually.
  • Work with ship Operations Directors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • An ability to adjust quickly in response to re-organizations, strategy or priority changes and shifting needs.
  • An ability to interact with all levels in the organization including senior management, which may include educating, persuading and negotiating.
  • A strong customer service mindset including attitude and approach.
  • A performance-oriented approach to problem solving and operations management.
