Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Partners with subject matter experts to develop and implement training materials
- Apply adult learning design principles to create training and how-to-guides
- Collaborate with departments to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate training materials
- Design and assess all training programs for accordance with Mercy Ships’ ethos and quality standards
- Create instructional content using eLearning development software
- Works with all areas of the organization to plan new instructional content and strategize how to execute it most efficiently in order to achieve the desired outcomes of training initiatives.
- Scale and tailor writing styles as needed to pivot to diverse audiences and multiple deliverables
- Analyze learning needs based on consultation with people managers and subject matter experts
- Build partnerships and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop engaging and interactive content for a variety of formats, including blended eLearning/Instructor-led (ILT), social learning, mobile learning, simulation, and/or printed material
- Other duties as assigned, including support of other Mercy Ships training programs

Education and Experience
The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience working in Learning Management Systems, preferred
- Experience working in Enterprise Content Management System, or similar, preferred
