IS Product Manager
Summary:  Responsible for the ongoing operations and innovation of one or more of Mercy Ships' core technology products.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

Core

  • Lead an IS product team in the development of product vision, product knowledge, business empathy, technical expertise.
  • Orchestrate the use of and expertise in the product(s) throughout Mercy Ships.
  • Set and implement product strategy, manage the product roadmap and feed into a master technology roadmap.
  • Identify use cases and champion the innovative use of product(s) across Mercy Ships.
  • Collaborate with business functions to identify needs, prioritize desired platform changes. roadmap activities, resolve any cross-functional or cross-project conflicts and ensure stakeholders are adequately informed and engaged.
  • Support budget planning and manage assigned budget.
  • Assign changes and ensure the consistent application of release management processes.
  • Align the products with Mercy Ships' desired enterprise architecture.
  • Collaborate with project management functions in the execution of projects, including setting scope, identifying objectives and realizing success.
  • Write any required policy and process applicable to the product(s).
  • Lead any related steering groups or working groups.
  • Provide status reports as requested.
  • Escalate issues and risks to senior leadership and business stakeholders as necessary.

Management

  • Set priorities and tasks of staff and contracted resources assigned to the product team.
  • Work with project management functions and resource managers in the assignment of resources for individual projects, both internal and external.
