Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)
Policy Development:
- Demonstrates the ability to research evidence needed to support policy development
- Understands how to use medical evidence databases to conduct literature searches (e.g., PubMed, Medline, Embase)
- Understands and demonstrates the ability to find reliable sources of information to support the policy with scientifically backed research.
- Demonstrates the ability to present policy evidence in a concise and understandable way.
- Regularly monitors relevant international organizations for policy and guidance updates.
Policy Implementation:
- Responsible for communicating new policy implementation needs to the ICMO and others who will be the final approvers in policy implementation
- Ability to clarify ambiguity regarding policy implementation
- Supports the development of procedures to support policy implementation
Administrative support to the ICMO:
- Organizing e-mail accounts
- Calendar management
- Draft email replies
- Support drafting of blog posts to the Mercy Ships Global Community
- Writing minutes for standing meetings
- Responsible for the document management of Global Medical Services
- Other duties as assigned
