Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
 
• Lead and direct the Nautical Operations sub-department of Marine Operations:
• Safety Management
• Crewing
• Port Assessment
• Set priorities, targets, and KPIs for Nautical Operations
• Liaise closely with the Director of Technical Operations to ensure close department alignment between the Technical Operations and Nautical Operations sub-departments of Marine Operations.
• Support the Safety Manager in working with the Global Security Department on ISPS compliance matters.
• Support the Crewing Manager in working with the Maritime Training Center on STCW and company training matters.
• Assist in the creation and administration of operational strategies, policies and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement of Marine
 
Operations
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external professional organizations to aide in the continuous improvement of Marine Operations
• Develop team, mainly direct reports, with an aim to maintain/improve overall engagement and performance
• Accountable for maintaining effective engagement with stakeholders/business partners.
• Accountable for success implementation of specific department improvement initiatives, projects, etc. (as applicable to his/her team)
• Other duties as assigned.
