This role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing an effective global Talent Acquisition strategy, while leading the team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Identify, develop and implement effective full-cycle recruitment processes including recruitment metrics, talent acquisition strategies, and building new talent pools.
  • Ensure the Talent Experience is in alignment with the Mercy Ships Mission and Values.
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition team members by providing continual training, mentoring. 
  • Ensure presence at all relevant local events, career fairs, etc. 
  • Track metrics to measure sourcing and placement success and monitor the return-on-investment (ROI) of recruitment activities, recommending adjustments accordingly. 
  • Act as the recruiting department subject matter expert on Global Recruitment tactics and develop new global sourcing initiatives.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with the HR Business Partners.
  • Collaborate with internal branding team and contribute to the marketing strategies to attract passive and active candidates, as well as to increase local awareness of Mercy Ships and optimizing employer branding.
  • Explore and maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and implement as appropriate in the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High aptitude for computer applications such as Microsoft office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), marketing automations, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms and databases.

Education And Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

  • 5 years of relevant industry experience as a professional recruiter, with at least 1 year of Global recruitment experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing Human Resources or other relevant education
  • Prior nonprofit experience preferred
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
