**This is a FULL-TIME ON- SITE opportunity located in Lindale, Texas.

**Compensation Range for This Position Is $18 - $18.72/HR

Mercy Ships is seeking a Receipting Specialist to provide clerical assistance and data entry tasks in support of Donor Services Department including researching and processing mail donations; adding new Donors; updating Donor accounts and information; maintaining and ensuring data integrity.

How You’ll Contribute

• Data analysis and cleanup relating to donor address changes/updates, thank you letter codes, and preferences.
• Produce gift receipts and individualized acknowledgement letters for all gifts received within 48 hours of gift posting.
• Assist the Data and Development Coordinator in order to provide an inventory list weekly to Marketing and Donor Services Director for timely reordering and processing of materials.
• Organize materials in storage area, move boxes of materials from storage area to work area to restock supplies as needed.
• Communicate and build relationships with donors including calls and emails.
• Assist with End of Day report and integrity of data.
• Process gifts called in via Insta-Charge (CC and ACH accounts).
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing process and develop strategies for improving.
• Review training materials and documentation and keep them up to date.
• Assist with batch entry as time allows this includes coding and entering and posting batches.
• Assist other Donor Services team members, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

  The Ideal Candidate

• Working knowledge of computers and database software required.
• Experience with computer codes, applications and report generation preferred.
• Good interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.
• Strong customer service mindset including attitude and approach. Customer service experience preferred.
• Organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to prioritize data entry projects and review work for accuracy.
• Completion of tasks in a timely manner.
• Delegate appropriate tasks.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with interruptions in an energetic environment.
• Work well under pressure with periodic heavy workloads.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, 10-key skills and an aptitude for learning new applications.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. for inventory/restocking of materials.
• Supportive of Mercy Ships mission and vision and committed to its core values.
• Understand and apply servant leadership, work collaboratively with integrity and demonstrate accountability

Education & Experience

• High School diploma required, some college preferred.
• Prior experience in a financial area, such as accounting and/or bookkeeping, preferred.
• Prior experience working in a development/fundraising environment preferred.
• Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
